Å synge oss sammen. Norske barnesanger som inkluderingsverktøy for barn med minoritetsbakgrunn i en barnehage
Abstract
Masteroppgaven retter seg mot inkludering av barn med minoritetsbakgrunn i barnehagen ved bruk av musikkterapeutisk læring gjennom sangsamlinger. Det er en kvalitativ studie som tar utgangspunkt i aksjonsforskning og semistrukturert intervju som metode for datainnsamlingen. Informantene i studien er 18 barn, to pedagogiske ledere og tre foreldre ved en barnehage i Akershus.
Problemstillingen som oppgaven ønsker å belyse er:
Hva kan musikkterapi med vekt på innlæring av norske barnesanger bety for inkludering av barn med minoritetsbakgrunn?
Resultatene etter gjennomføringen av aksjonsforskningen og de semistrukturerte intervjuene kan oppsummeres i hovedkategoriene: glede, sosialt fellesskap, kultur og identitet, inkludering og den voksne som rollemodell. Resultatene er drøftet opp mot teorier om praksisfellesskap, identitet, inkludering og barn med minoritetsbakgrunn fra litteraturen i musikkterapi og pedagogikk. Det blir lagt vekt på en musikkterapeutisk tilnærming til prosjektet og musikkterapeutisk læring er brukt som begrep for å forklare kombinasjonen av musikkterapi og musikkpedagogikk.

This master thesis focuses on the inclusion of children with minority backgrounds in kindergarten by using music therapy through singing. It is a qualitative study which is based on action research and semistructured interviews as a method of data collection. The informants in the study are 18 children, two preschool teachers and three parents at a kindergarten in Akershus.
The research question is:
What can music therapy with emphasis on learning Norwegian children's songs mean for the inclusion of children with minority backgrounds?
The results of the action research and the semistructured interviews can be summarized in these main categories: joy, social community, culture and identity, inclusion and the adult as a role model. The results is compared to theories of communities of practice, identity, inclusion and children with minority backgrounds from literature in music therapy and pedagogy. Emphasis is placed on a musically therapeutic approach to the project, and learning through music therapy is used as a term to explain the combination of music therapy and education in music.
